A real gem from the archives has found its way back to us.

The Sullivan Alumni Association would like to extend our sincere thanks to David Reynolds for sharing this wonderful piece of school history, a copy of the Speech Day programme from 28th October 1960.

Documents like this are far more than paper and print; they are snapshots of a different era at Sullivan, bringing back memories of classrooms, assembly halls, friendships, teachers, traditions, and the unmistakable spirit of school life that generations have carried with them ever since. For many of our alumni, events such as Speech Day were milestones in the school calendar. Occasions filled with pride, achievement, nervous speeches, polished shoes, proud parents, and celebrations of student success.

Looking through a programme like this offers a fascinating glimpse into the life of the school over sixty years ago. Names once read aloud on stage may still be fondly remembered today, while younger alumni can enjoy seeing how traditions and values have continued through the decades. It is these shared memories and connections that make our alumni community so special.

We are incredibly grateful to David for preserving and sharing this piece of Sullivan history with us. Contributions like these help keep the story of the school alive and allow us all to reminisce about the people, events, and moments that shaped our time there.

If any other alumni have photographs, programmes, newsletters, team photos, or memorabilia tucked away in drawers or attics, we would love to see them shared with the wider Sullivan community. Every item helps add another chapter to our shared story.

Thank you again, David, for giving us all the opportunity to take a wonderful trip down memory lane.
