Clodagh, who is a journalist for BBC Northern Ireland, has won the Wincott Awards prize for the 2021 UK Nations and Regions Journalist of the Year for her multimedia coverage of the cost of living crisis in Northern Ireland.
The Wincott Awards recognise outstanding achievement in the fields of business, economic and financial journalism.

Clodagh saw off competition from two former winners, Yorkshire Post head of business and features Mark Casci, who won the award in 2017 as well as Sion Barry, business editor at the Western Mail and Wales Online, the 2016 winner, to claim the prize. Her BBC NI colleague John Campbell was the 2020 winner for his Spotlight programme on Brexit and the Irish Sea Border.
Clodagh picked up her award and £2000 prize at a special lunch and ceremony at London’s Mansion House on 26 May.
