Chris was in Upper Sixth when the Belfast Good Friday Agreement was brokered and signed on 10th April 1998. It brought an end to 30 years of conflict in Northern Ireland and was a main topic of conversation in homes, workplaces and schools all over Northern Ireland.
Chris and three former classmates, Gail McConnell, Simon McEvoy and Victoria Denoon recently retured to Sullivan to meet with their then History teacher David Armstrong, to share their memories of that critical period in history.
I've been back to @sullivan_upper to reunite with some friends and our teacher Mr Armstrong, to talk about what it was like to be coming of age during pivotal political times. We were in 6th form when the Good Friday Agreement was signed - listen herehttps://t.co/cFdjTanxQi
