While many pupils will be offered a university place without an interview,  a number of courses, as well as Oxford and Cambridge require all students to have had an interview prior to offering a place. At the end of September we made a request for Sullivan alumni to volunteer to assist current pupils with mock interviews as part of their university application preparation.

In all, 35 students took part in mock interviews held in November and of the 15 volunteer interviewers, 9 of them were contacts that had come through Sullivan Connect.

Areas in which interviews were carried out included medicine, nursing law, product design, natural sciences, business studies, computing, physiotherapy and paramedic science.

Laura ( Medicine), Micah ( Natural Science) and Helen ( Product Design) all took part in mock interviews with Sullivan Connect volunteers.

In addition to the interviews, the school Careers' Team were able to set up two interview skills sessions for medical and nursing applicants. These took place on Thursday 18th and Wednesday 24th November, through an online platform and were facilitated by Sullivan Connect volunteers.

As well as being a great way for former pupils to reconnect and share news and photographs it's wonderful to see Sullivan Connect being able to offer help in this way and add value to current pupils and teaching staff.

Thank you to all those who volunteered their time to assist.
