Sullivan Medallion XV March Into the Final at the Affidea Stadium

There was pride, passion and no shortage of determination on Saturday 21 February 2026 as the Sullivan Medallion Rugby team delivered a superb semi-final performance to defeat The Royal School Armagh in the Danske Bank Medallion Shield.

It was a performance built on teamwork, resilience and belief, the kind of display that defines knockout rugby. From the first whistle to the final play, the boys showed composure under pressure and a fierce commitment to one another, earning a fantastic victory and booking their place in the final.

A Final to Remember

The stage is now set.

On Tuesday 3 March 2026, Sullivan will face Wallace High School at the iconic Affidea Stadium — the home of Ulster Rugby — with kick-off at 2.30pm.

To run out at the Affidea Stadium is a special moment for any young rugby player. It is a ground that has hosted elite provincial and European rugby, and now our Medallion XV have the opportunity to write their own chapter on that turf. It promises to be a memorable occasion for players, coaches, families and the wider Sullivan community.

Many of you will remember your own school matches. The cold afternoons, the camaraderie in the changing rooms, the lifelong friendships formed through shared effort and shared ambition. You will remember what it felt like to stand shoulder to shoulder with your teammates, representing something bigger than yourself.

Now, it is this group of young men’s turn to create those memories.
