Father Peter Boyland (SUS 1975-1986) lives in Western Australia where he is the Rector of Christ Church Claremont and an Archdeacon in the Diocese of Perth.

Peter read theology at Trinity College, Dublin, and for several years worked in the commercial world before studying for the priesthood at St Stephen's House, Oxford. He was ordained in the Church of England and moved to Australia in 2011.

Andrew Whiteley (SUS 1949-1956) moved to Australia in 1958 and now lives in retirement in Melbourne.

The chance meeting between the two occurred at the theological college in Perth in August. Peter was there as part of his work for the Church while Andrew was visiting his daughter, who is the new Warden of the college.

Neither Peter nor Andrew were aware of any shared Sullivan connection prior to meeting.

What a small world it is!
