Chairperson's Update

Since becoming Chairperson of the Sullivan Alumni Association in 2025, it has been a privilege to help strengthen and support a community that has played such an important role in so many lives, including my own. My connection to Sullivan extends beyond my time as a pupil; my wife is a proud alumna, two of our children currently attend the school, and our eldest recently completed their Sullivan journey. This personal connection makes the work of the Association particularly meaningful.

The Sullivan Alumni Association continues to play an active role in enhancing the experience of current pupils while fostering lifelong connections among former students. Over the past year, we have made a significant contribution to the Leavers' Yearbook, ensuring that every pupil receives a lasting keepsake of their time at Sullivan. Our annual Christmas Leavers' Reunion remains a much-anticipated event, providing former pupils with the opportunity to reconnect with friends and teachers during their first term after leaving school.

Supporting pupils as they prepare for life beyond Sullivan is a key focus of our work. Our annual Careers Fair brings together employers, industry professionals and alumni from a wide range of sectors, helping students explore career pathways, gain valuable insights and make informed decisions about their futures. This year, we were also delighted to invest £5,000 in the purchase of Google Chromebooks for A-Level pupils, supporting digital learning and enhancing classroom engagement.

In addition, we continue to develop and grow the Sullivan Alumni Portal, create new opportunities for professional networking, and maintain an active presence across our social media channels to keep our alumni community informed, engaged and connected.

The strength of the Sullivan community lies in the relationships that extend far beyond the classroom. It is encouraging to see our alumni network continue to grow, and I am grateful for the ongoing support of pupils, parents, staff, former students and friends of the school. Together, we are ensuring that the Sullivan connection remains strong for generations to come.
