Having completed my undergraduate history degree at Loughborough University during which time I represented the University playing on the Ist XV and won a scholarship to study Australian history at Curtain University, Perth, Australia.
I continued my studies as a postgraduate member of Homerton College Cambridge. I have thoroughly enjoyed playing on the Cambridge University 1st XV with the highlight being selected to play in the 2019 Varsity match.
The Varsity match was played on a wet and blustery day, not ideal conditions for a winger! Despite my initial misgivings of not seeing much of the action during the game I managed to score trys in both halfs and help secure the cup for Cambridge.
My performance earned me the Alastair Hignell medal as man of the match. The experience of playing in the Varsity match with its unique rituals and traditions and the opportunity to play at Twickenham in front of such a large crowd will last a lifetime. My Sullivan green blazer has now been replaced by a Cambridge Blue!
