Class of 1997 School Formal Photo Gallery

It's 24 years since the Class of 1997 enjoyed their Sullivan Formal at The Culloden Hotel.

The formal, attended by a number of teachers as well as the pupils of Upper Sixth (Year 14) was held at The Culloden Hotel on Thursday 13th February 1997.

There had been a number of fund-raising events prior to the formal itself, including a year group fancy dress party held upstairs in Carmichael's in Holywood and a 'pre-formal' at Paradise Lost, the nightclub attached to the Europa Hotel in Belfast where pupils from other schools such as Campbell and Strathearn also attended.

Have you got photos from your own formal that you'd like to share? If you have any photos to add from this gallery from 1997, or would like to see a gallery of your own year's formal, please email the photos, along with some information to

After a fabulous evening at The Culloden, and last orders, the pupils were bussed to the Superbowl in Glengormley where the party continued at the after-formal until around 3 or 4am in morning. The buses then dropped everyone at City Hall in Belfast from where they found their own way home.
